Project workers at KBT: Anne Hirrich and Tora Leinan
On behalf of the National Competence Service for Headaches, KBT has conducted a qualitative feasibility study in connection with the planning phase of a treatment study on chronic cluster headaches. The purpose of the treatment study is to clarify whether advanced surgery with deep brain stimulation can be effective as a treatment. The purpose of the feasibility study is to investigate how representatives of patients with chronic cluster headaches reflect on ethical and practical aspects regarding planned study design. The purpose is to contribute to user involvement and participation in the planned treatment study. In the period December 2021 to February 2022, KBT conducted three focus group interviews with a total of 10 participants.
