Process manager – User Interviews User
User Interviews User (UIU) is our interview method where we involve people with lived experience as a user of health services in evaluating the services with us at KBT. You will learn how to lead this type of interview process to obtain knowledge from other service users. The idea is that you, as former user of health services, have particularly good prerequisites for developing nuances and information- This is more difficult for professionals without lived experience.
Target Group
People with experience with healthcare services, especially mental healthcare and drug addiction treatment.
Content
As Process Manager for User Interviews User, you will be involved in interesting and demanding tasks through evaluation and service development in municipalities and health trusts.
Training to become a Process Manager for User Interviews User consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.
The five theoretical modules in the training include an introduction to the key elements of a UIU evaluation: Focus group method, reference technique, preparation of theme guide, ethics and analysis.
You will receive training in interview techniques including how to create a good atmosphere in the group and how to lower the threshold to participate for participants. You will learn techniques for writing and analyzing qualitative material, and you will be challenged to reflect about ethical issues by conducting interviews. Training consists of lectures and discussion, as well as roleplay and practicing techniques with each other.
The practical part of the training consists of carrying out a concrete UIU project, parallel to the course. In the Northern part of Trøndelag, Steinkjer municipality was the “training case” in 2006-07. In 2008, KBT and participants in the Process Manager course conducted a UIU evaluation of KIM-senteret, and the project “My voice matters” which started in 2015 was also a “training case” for young process managers.
In the practical part of the training/course, participants will get close guidance throughout the project.
