Works with
Service user involvement for children and youth in particular, but also other projects, User Interviews User evaluations, talks and lectures, and co-research.
Education
I have a self-composed Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis on cultural dissemination and drama. Fall 2017, I’m becoming a part-time student to get a Master Degree in Health and Social Studies, Mastering and Empowerment at Volda University College.
Background and experience
I have personal experience with mental health issues, mainly eating disorders. Because of this I participate actively in the service user organization “ROS” [Advice on eating disorders]. I have a great interest in most forms of artistic expression, and I like to explore the tension between art, enlightenment and dissemination. I developed “Det friske i det syke”, which is a documentary performance about my own recovery process. The script is a compilation of my own diary and medical journal notes. The performance has been widely used as basis for professional discussions and reflections for students, professionals and service users.
Wishes to contribute with
I want more focus on children, youth and service user involvement. Traditionally, this is a group that has not always been heard, and I think it’s important that we raise their own voices so that the services can evolve according to the needs of this group. I’m also concerned with how health professionals meet service users. How do you develop good relations?
