Service user involvement – Evaluation of KS’ Learning Networks for good patient pathways for mental health and/or substance abuse issues
In 2015 KBT was hired to conduct an evaluation of Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS)’ project of establishing learning network for good patient pathways for people with psychological and/or substance abuse issues. The intention has been to turn the services’ thought-process from “what is wrong with you?” to “what matters most to you?” Emphasis has been put on patient pathways in which collaboration between services function optimally. The measure has had a goal of active participation from users and user organizations.
The goal of this evaluation has been to collect experiences and gain knowledge about how to facilitate service user involvement in the learning networks and the municipalities’ work. Through the experiences made in this project, we have taken a closer look at what factors promotes/hinders service user involvement in the teams.
